Metal roofing in Fredericksburg, Texas
A family firm in Fredericksburg. We roof barns, shops and houses across the Hill Country in metal, and the price, the panel and the payments go in writing before we start.

The range
Ranch country says lámina, Spanish for sheet metal, for the ribbed panel on a barn. The house gets a different panel in the same metal.

Ribbed lámina panel, screwed down through the face. A plain roof for a barn, a hay shed or a lean-to.
Exposed-fastener ribbed panel
Cut to your length

A heavier ribbed panel for buildings that get used: a shop, a carport, a porch with a view.
Exposed-fastener panel
Heavier steel on request

Standing-seam panel with a snap-lock joint, so there are no screws through the face.
Concealed fasteners
Panels lock along each seam

Standing seam closed with a seaming machine, for houses with chimneys, valleys and dormers.
Concealed fasteners
Fits stone chimneys and dormers
Choosing a panel
Lámina is the ribbed panel with exposed screws. Standing seam hides the fasteners under the seam. Both are metal; they are built and priced differently.
| Standing seam | Exposed fastener (lámina) | |
|---|---|---|
| Fasteners | Standing seamClips under the seam, no screws in the face | Exposed fastener (lámina)Screws through the face of the panel |
| Upkeep | Standing seamLittle to check on the face; flashing and sealant matter | Exposed fastener (lámina)Screws and washers are checked as the roof ages |
| Typical use | Standing seamHouses, guest houses, cabins | Exposed fastener (lámina)Barns, sheds, shops, porches |
| Look | Standing seamClean vertical lines, flat between seams | Exposed fastener (lámina)Ribbed lines, a working-building look |
| Cost | Standing seamHigher per square foot | Exposed fastener (lámina)Lower per square foot |
How we take orders

No deposit to order custom-cut panels
The payment schedule is in the written estimate
A change is priced in writing before the work

Local conditions
A hail rating is about cracking, not dents. Metal can dent and still keep water out. Ask your insurer whether your policy covers cosmetic dents before you choose a panel.
Hill Country sun is hard on paint. Painted panels have a finish warranty from the maker; bare galvalume has no paint to fade. We show you both on samples.
Many ranches catch rain off the roof into a tank. Tell us if yours does; the coating and the gutters matter.
Parts of Fredericksburg are a historic district with rules about roofs that show from the street. We ask before we order panels.
From first call to finished roof
We find a time to see the roof, usually within the same week.
Every building, every slope, the chimneys and the vents.
The panel, the finish, the price and the payments, on paper.
Panels are cut to your measurements once you sign. No deposit.
